Tulsa Officer Runs Over Woman After She Shoots at Police
An officer in Tulsa runs over a suspect after she fires several shots at pursuing officers.
On 3/18/2017 police came into contact with 21-year-old Madison Dickson. Dickson was wanted by Tulsa police for six different charges. These charges included shooting with intent to kill, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempted petit larceny, and discharging a gun in public.
These charges stemmed from Dickson shooting two people a few days prior to her being ran over by a Tulsa police officer. She had shot a woman in the stomach and a man in the head.
On March 18, 2017 Police received information that Dickson was in the area of East 91st Street and South Harvard Avenue in Tulsa. Officers responded and were fired on by Dickson. Two officers returned fire, but did not hit her.
The officer in the Dashcam below witnessed Dickson fire a gun at his fellow officers and decided to end the threat immediately. He accelerated his patrol vehicle and swerved onto the grass, striking Dickson and trapping her under his patrol car.
She was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
The March 18th incident isn’t Dickson’s first time running into law enforcement. In 2015 she stole an Osage county deputy’s car.
