Officer Who Punched Woman at Football Game Cleared Of Wrongdoing
The police officer who punched a woman in a viral video has been cleared by his department of any wrong doing.
You may remember seeing this viral video from a few weeks ago: An unruly woman at a University of Miami football game refuses to leave, police go to carry her out, she slaps a cop in the face, and the officer punches her.
The 30-year-old woman was charged with felony battery on a police officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Many people on the internet were furious with the video. Some were saying the officer didn’t have to do that, while others were saying “that’s what she gets”.
Either way, a decision has been made regarding the 18-year veteran officer’s actions. Officer Douglas Ross of the Miami-Dade Police department has been cleared by his supervisors of any wrong doing in the incident shown below:
