Flagstaff Officer Tyler Stewart Killed In the Blink of an Eye

Flagstaff, AZ officer Tyler Stewart didn’t even have time to react when a suspect pulled out a revolver and killed him.

On 12/27/2014 Flagstaff police were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance. 24-year-old Flagstaff Police officer Tyler Stewart was the first officer on scene.

Stewart found 28-year-old Robert W. Smith on scene. Officer Stewart told Smith to remove his hands from his pockets. Smith pulled out a .22 caliber revolver and shot Officer Stewart in the head, fatally wounding him.

Smith then shot himself in the head and died on scene.
