Man Kills Himself During Roswell Police Shooting
Roswell police get into a gunfight with a suspected car thief who kills himself after being shot by an officer.
On 02/15/2017 30-year-old Shayne Romero was suspected of impersonating a security guard at a hotel. He was also suspected of being in possession of a stolen vehicle. A Roswell police officer arrives on scene and begins inspecting the possible stolen vehicle.
Romero quickly tries to flee the scene on foot. Romero runs a short distance before pulling a gun and firing shots at the officer. The officer returned returned fire, hitting Romero one time.
As another officer pulls up on scene, Romero can be seen laying on the sidewalk. He fires one shot into his own head, killing himself.
