Glendale Police Shoot, Wound Knife Wielding Suicide By Cop Suspect
A Glendale police officer shoots and wounds a man who is armed with a knife.

- 46-year-old Javier Pablo Aleman, who was wanted in connection with a Baltimore stabbing murder, was walking down Interstate 75.
- 31-year-old Officer Josh Hilling approached Aleman and asked him if he needed a ride.
- The two exchange words before officer Hilling tells Alemen that he is going to pat him down for officer safety.
- Aleman becomes agitated and pulls out a knife between 8 and 12 inches long. He approached officer Hilling, who fires one shot, striking Aleman in the abdomen.
- Aleman follows officer Hilling around until he is Tased by another officer.
- Aleman surrenders after telling officer Hilling to shoot him over 40 times.
- Aleman is taken into custody. He survives the incident.
