Donut?
Hi. I’m Donut. AKA Kitty cop. AKA Cody Garrett. I was a police officer for about 3 years in South Carolina before I started the whole Donut Operator thing. The idea for Donut came about after watching too many Mike the Cop and Officer Daniels videos.
After a few funny skits, I discovered that I could give people way more than some laughs. I could give people some insight and truth. The truth of what police officers go through. the truth of why police officers do certain things. The simple, gritty truth.
The past year, my YouTube channel has grown to nearly 145,000 followers with millions of views on my videos. While growing my social media presence and brand, I’ve met some other pretty cool brands along the way. I’ve wrote over 200 articles for the popular pro-police website Blue Lives Matter and over 150 articles for Badge Cams.
Purpose of this newsblog:
So why am I putting a lot of time and effort into this project? Primarily, because there is nothing like it.
“But Donut, there are a million news websites!”
This is true, but they all pull from one source or they can be incredibly biased one way or the other when it comes to policing. I’m here to provide an unbiased crime news source that is quick and reliable.
One great thing about the community that I have built on YouTube is that I constantly receive tips and information from people who gigantic news outlets often don’t have access to. I often have police officers who were actually involved in these incidents send me messages about what happened.
Along with creating a breaking news source, I want to create a database of police shooting videos than can be easily searched by agencies involved, location, names, etc..
I don’t believe in fluff content or bullshitting around the point. I will give you the facts in a direct manner and that’s about it.

Most news websites have popups, ads, slideshows, and tons of useless garbage. You wont find any of that anytime soon on this website.
